Jonathan Teoh graduated in International Hospitality Management from the Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden, in 2006. In 2008 he co-founded the Dutch espresso bar ‘Doppio Espresso‘. He successfully build and scaled-up this food service company into a top 3 espresso bar chain in the Netherlands. Since April 2020 he is Entrepreneurship Manager at FoodvalleyNL.
Jonathan loves putting his first-hand experience as a successful food entrepreneur to use by supporting other agrifood startup teams. He has particular interest in and hands-on knowledge on business modelling, operations, branding and positioning and customer intimacy. His drive to find the perfect customer fit and really understanding customer needs pushes organizations to not only excel in developing their technology but also building the foundation of a robust company.
Besides his role as Startup Business Coach at Startlife, Jonathan helps create an ecosystem where innovative agrifood startups and scale-ups, all over the world, can find everything they need to be successful. Therefore he has a great network in Food & Ag as well as foodservice and hospitality.
